Helene Brashear

Dr. Helene Brashear is a Research Scientist at the Georgia Institute of Technology. She received her PhD from the College of Computing at the Georgia Institute of Technology in August 2010 and her BS in Computer Science from Southern Methodist University in 1999. Dr. Brashear’s research is focused on automatic sign language recognition, assistive technology and machine learning. She has been a member of Dr. Starner’s research group since 2000 and has been an active member of the CopyCat research group since its inception.
